San Telmo

The meeting point is in front of the statue of Mafalda, in Defense and Chile.
San Telmo, is an essential part of the history of the city. Today it exhibits its bohemian and artistic imprint with its concentration of antique shops, galleries and museums.
It is also the largest reservoir of the original architecture of the city, visible in the facades of the Italian-style houses, which keep their identity intact.
Walking through the streets of the neighborhood we will arrive at the old market, an industrial building from the 19th century, whose formidable iron structure now houses a dynamic and multipurpose space where food, small bars and vintage shops coexist.
We continue the visit in the cozy Plaza Dorrego, the beating heart of the neighborhood, where you can find antique shops, fashion boutiques, artists’ studios, hotels and restaurants.
Finally, we will conclude the tour by heading to Parque Lezama: viewpoints, statues, fountains, and small temples adorn this park built on several levels, which also houses the National History Museum. In front of the park, we will also see the original domes of the Russian Orthodox Church.
